Sara Trevor Teasdale’s poems are described as being simplistic and clear by nature with passion throughout. The Falling Star is a brief poem that captures the brilliance and wonder of a shooting star. The piano sets the stage representing the twinkling night sky with a star falling from the rest. The style switches to a waltz as the star remains present for viewing, portraying the star in its full beauty before it disappears, forever to be gone.
