Music purchases for large ensembles works

  • Any purchases through an authorized distributor or myself have these terms applied to them. Copyright is not meant to threaten any party, but a way for me as a composer to protect my intellectual property and support my future endeavors. These guidelines are only for music published through Brandon Gasaway Music.

  • Yes! Schools often have varying instrumentation and don't have enough sheet music for each student provided in a set. I also understand that students might take and lose parts over time. Fear not that you can make photocopies as needed as long as they stay within the school/organization in which they were purchased.

  • No. While instrumental parts may be photocopied for the needs of the ensemble, scores of any sort are not to be copied. Additional scores can be purchased from an authorized distributor or myself.

  • Yes! As long as the platform used to distribute parts is secured, password protected, and inaccessible to anyone outside your school/organization.

  • No. This action is a violation of U.S. Copyright Law and should not be done. Cases where music has been found online or physical copies distributed will be investigated and prosecuted to the full extent of the United States & International Copyright Law.

  • Absolutely! All non-profit recordings are encouraged and welcome! I appreciate any and all performances of my work. Feel free to contact me with such recordings so that I may post them or share them with others!

  • Please submit a digital or photo of a physical program for my records. I like to keep a list of who, what, where, and when something was performed! If no program is created for the event, please contact me with the name of the performer(s), the date of the performance, and the location where it was performed.

  • Please contact me through my website! I am happy to answer any questions you have!

Thank you so much for your purchase, as it helps me further my ability to compose long term.

  • As of right now, unfortunately not. I am unable to print on the required paper size due to the costs of owning a non-standard printer for music printing. Printing externally and covering shipping costs would be unprofitable. Therefore, all non-ensemble works are sold digitally and can be printed by the purchaser.

  • Of course! As long as the performer(s) do not distribute or post my sheet music in any sort of way, you are permitted to upload my music onto a device.
