Elizabeth “Lizzie” Lawson was born in Dunfermline, Scotland in 1867. She had a history of working with her father, illustrating popular children’s books. Married to Robert Ellice Mack in 1886, she produced many books alongside him. That same year, they published a new collection of Christmas stories and poems with illustrations, entitled Christmas Roses. “Golden Days” is a part of this collection. The text contains various emotions and settings painted with words, and Golden Days takes you through the same journey using expressive and colorful music.
