It’s a Big World Out There is inspired by many of the nostalgic video games I used to play as a kid, as it evokes a sense of adventure and exploration into an unknown world. It was also written to use piano pedagogy for a younger audience, keeping a simple but interesting harmonic rhythm and long melodic lines. Even though the piece has a definite ending, the repeat can be looped for as many times as wanted, just like an actual video game soundtrack would until you change areas or complete an action.
